Registration will open in August

Cost: $35 per individual, $60 per couple

Location: 515 South 32nd Street, Camp Hill, PA 17011

Childcare: Will be provided for children up to 5th grade

Overview: This foundational seminar provides an introduction to the basic theology, benefits, and practical applications of the six skills of relational wisdom (see detailed course description below). This CEU-approved training costs only $49 per person and includes dynamic teaching, demonstration videos, small group discussions and practical applications.

Applications and Endorsements: RW training is being applied in a wide variety of settings, including churches, counseling centers, Christian-owned businesses, mission teams, pregnancy centers, Christian schools, law enforcement, and on military bases (click here to see specific endorsements).

Audience: This seminar is designed primarily for adults (18+) but mature teens (15+) typically enjoy the presentation and find practical applications to their lives. Bonus Follow-up Resources: Students leave the seminar with a detailed Study Guide, Personal Growth Plan, and a full-scholarship to the online version of the course (an additional value of up to $150), which provides additional teaching, and demonstration videos, interactive discussions with other students, and practical exercises that promote continued growth in relational wisdom.

Date: Saturday, March 23, 2019.
Registration begins at 8 am, seminar from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm

Hosted by Sovereign Grace Church

Overview: This foundational seminar provides an introduction to the basic theology, neurology, benefits and practical applications of the six skills of relational wisdom, which is a faith-based form of emotional intelligence (see detailed course description below). This CEU-approved training costs only $15 per person and includes dynamic teaching, demonstration videos, small group discussions and practical applications.

Applications and Endorsements: RW training is being applied in a wide variety of settings, including churches, counseling centers, businesses, pregnancy centers, schools and universities, law enforcement, and on military bases (click here to see specific endorsements).

Audience: This seminar is designed primarily for adults (18+) but mature teens (15+) typically enjoy the presentation and find practical applications to their lives. Infants are also welcome, assuming that parents will step out to a cry room if they become restless.

Faith-Based: This training is open to all people regardless of their religious beliefs. The concepts are drawn from the Bible, which is specifically referred to during the training, along with neurological information related to emotions, habits and relationships (see Emotional Intelligence: A Cousin to RW). Webinar | Using Relational Wisdom for Community Outreach and Evangelism | Ken Sande
May 14 @ 11:00 am – 12:30 pm

Many churches and ministries are effective at teaching and ministering to their members, but they are typically less effective at serving and evangelizing the unchurched people in their communities. RW360 has developed a “values-based” line of resources that churches can use to take biblical principles on relationships, and the gospel itself, into businesses, schools, government offices, military bases and other secular venues. Although these “common grace” materials contain no explicit Bible references, their focus on personal values, worldview and emotional intelligence opens a door for Christians in an audience to share their faith. Moreover, the written teaching resources, smartphone app and online training that is available to attendees contain links to the faith-based versions of relational wisdom, which include a clear gospel presentation. This webinar describes how churches and ministries can equip teams to take this training—and the gospel itself—into a wide variety of secular settings in their communities (see www.rw360.org/vb-summary and www.rw360.org/vb-rw a summary of the values-based paradigm and examples of how to use these concepts for community engagement and evangelism).

Introduction to Relational Wisdom | Senate Office Building, Washington DC | By Ken Sande
Sep 18 @ 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm

U.S. Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina is hosting a 90-minute interactive discussion on relational wisdom, which is an enhanced form of “emotional intelligence” (EI) that is being used by corporations, universities, hospitals, counselors, law enforcement, sports teams, military units and government bodies to improve the professional performance, leadership skills, creativity, effectiveness and productivity of individuals and entire teams.

This type of professional development training is especially beneficial to individuals who serve our country in Federal Government and the U.S. Military.

For example, emotional intelligence is being recognized as a decisive factor in politics and diplomacy. In Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln, presidential scholar Doris Kearns Goodwin refers repeatedly to the remarkable emotional intelligence of Abraham Lincoln. When summarizing Lincoln’s brilliant response to a political attack by a member of his own cabinet, Kearns writes this:

Discipline and keen insight had once again served Lincoln most effectively. By regulating his emotions and resisting the impulse to strike back at Chase when the circular first become known, he gained time for his friends to mobilize the massive latent support for his candidacy. Chase’s aspirations were crushed without Lincoln’s direct intrusion…. Lincoln’s ability to retain his emotional balance in such difficult situations was rooted in acute self-awareness and enormous capacity to dispel anxiety in constructive ways.

The emotional intelligence and relational skills modeled by Abraham Lincoln can be learned and practiced by every member of a business, governmental or military team. These same skills may also be taken home to improve marital and parenting relationships, which circles back to enhance job performance and career advancement.

As a growing number of studies show, relationally healthy homes benefit employees and employers alike. People from peaceful homes are are more focused and energized when they come to work. They are happier with their co-workers and supervisors and find their work to be more fulfilling, productive and enjoyable. Their improved performance typically leads to better career advancement and higher pay.

Employers benefit from having more cohesive, innovative, and effective teams, as well as lower absenteeism, conflict and staff turnover, all of which lead to a pleasant work environment and productive organization.

Emotional intelligence can also play a role in counteracting the damage that power can cause to the human brain. Recent studies report that this damage seems to include an impairment of a neural process called “mirroring,” which is a cornerstone of empathy. This impairment causes many powerful people to do worse at reading the emotions and thoughts of others, which leads to an “empathy deficit” that undermines both their personal and professional relationships, as well as their ability to lead others.

Everyone who attends this discussion will receive free access to an 8-hour course in relational wisdom.

Introduction to Relational Wisdom | The Pentagon, Washington DC | By Ken Sande
Sep 19 @ 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm

When military personnel seek out a chaplain, it’s usually because of a relational problem at home, in their unit or with a superior. These problems are often aggravated by the fact that many individuals have never learned how to read and manage their own emotions, much less those of the people around them. As a result, they are often unaware of how emotions are clouding their judgment, aggravating misunderstandings, and triggering decisions that reduce unit effectiveness and damage family bonds.

These relational deficiencies may also contribute to the growing suicide rate in the United States Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines and Coast Guard.

RW360 has been invited to the Pentagon to discuss ways that military chaplains can use relational wisdom resources to strengthen the ability of service men and women to respond constructively to the emotional and relational challenges they experience as they serve our nation.
