Location and Date

Our 2021 Annual Conference is scheduled to be held in Billings, Montana, on September 9-12

Our Theme is “Sowing Peace”

In James 3:18, God makes a marvelous promise: “Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.”

This “sow to reap” metaphor reminds us that the more diligently we teach and nurture God’s relational principles, especially the gospel itself, the more we will see a harvest of peace, unity and godly relationships in our families, churches, ministries, schools and businesses.

As relationships thrive, the weeds of conflict have less room to grow, which opens the way for stronger families, more fruitful ministry and church growth, improved work performance, and, most importantly, a more compelling witness as Christians live out the gospel of peace in their families, workplaces and communities.

The following links provide real-life examples of the kinds of benefits you and those you love can experience as you sow God’s relational principles in the fields of your life.

We hope these examples will inspire you to join us in September to learn how you can sow relational principles in your family, church, ministry, school and workplace in order to promote a harvest of godly relationships that reveal the transforming power of Jesus and his gospel!

Conference Overview

The conference is designed to provide inspiration, practical skills training and fellowship opportunities for individuals who want to enhance their ability to practice, model and teach the principles of relational wisdom, biblical peacemaking, RW skills coaching and Christian conciliation. (For definitions of each of these relational disciplines, click here.)

Another goal of the conference is to provide churches, ministries, businesses, schools and other organizations with training and resources that will enable them to establish in-house Peace Sower Teams™ that include RW presenters, coaches and conciliators who equip and assist others to live out the principles of relational wisdom and biblical peacemaking in their daily lives (see Peace Sower Teams ).

The third major goal of the conference is to provide training for individuals who wish to pursue certification as a Certified RW Instructor™, Certified RW Coach™ or a Certified RW Conciliator™. All coach and instructor training will take place during the main conference. Conciliator training will take place during the main conference and during a special pre-conference session (see details below).

Conference Schedule

Lord willing, the main conference will begin at 7:00 pm on September 9 with a plenary session and reception honoring the many people who have served the Lord as peacemakers and Christian conciliators over the past thirty years.

Worship, keynotes and workshops on September 10 and 11 will run from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. There will be a time for worship, testimonies and fellowship Friday evening, and a Vision Banquet will be held Saturday evening. The conference will close at 9:45 am on Sunday after our worship service (for further details, see FAQs).

Pre-Conference Integration Training

UPDATE As of 6.10.21, our Pre-Conference spots are full. If you would like to be put on a waitlist in case any spots open up please email David Kelly at david@rw360.org. He will place you on a waitlist and all open spots will be filled in a first come first serve manner.

Advanced training is available to individuals who have read The Peacemaker, completed RW360’s online course, Discovering Relational Wisdom 3.0, and completed courses in conflict coaching and biblical mediation that have been developed by RW360 or one of our eight sister ministries, which include Alliance Peacemaking, Ambassadors of Reconciliation, Crossroads Resolution Group LLC, ICC Peace, Live at Peace Ministries, Peacemaker Ministries, PeacePoint and PeaceWise.

Pre-conference training will run from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm on September 9. We will combine instruction, discussion, demonstrations and roleplay exercises to provide practical experience in integrating the principles of relational wisdom, biblical peacemaking and Christian conciliation in a variety of scenarios drawn from actual church, marriage, business and legal conciliation cases.

We will also discuss the requirements and benefits of becoming a Certified RW Conciliator™, including ways that training and experience with other programs can exempt students from some of the costs and requirements of RW360’s certification program. Attendance at this pre-conference training will count as six (6) hours of practical integration training for RW360’s Conciliator Training and Certification Program (for further details, see Pre-Conference FAQs).

Given the interactive nature of this training, attendance will be limited to 50 students who will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Big Sky Country Attractions

There’s a good reason Montana is called “Big Sky Country.” Wherever you turn, you’ll see a vast expanse of blue sky arching over snow-capped mountains, crystal clear rivers and pastures teeming with horses and cattle, as well as buffalo and elk. But there is so much more to see if you add a few days to your visit.

Known as “Montana’s Trailhead,” Billings blends culture and history with outdoor adventure and R&R, earning it the title “Best Town of 2016” according to Outside Magazine.

Billings is surrounded by unique historical sites, including Pompey’s Pillar, which contains the only remaining physical evidence of the Lewis and Clark Expedition, and the Little Bighorn Battlefield, where Montana’s Native Americans gave the U.S. Cavalry its greatest defeat. For a myriad of additional local recreational ideas, see the Visit Billings – Visitor’s Guide.

Billings is just one hour away from the breathtaking “Beartooth Highway,” which Charles Kuralt described as “American’s most beautiful drive.” This spectacular drive crests at 10,947 feet as it leads to the north entrance of scenic Yellowstone National Park, which will be free from summer crowds and in the early stage of autumn splendor at the time of our conference!

Other nearby attractions include blue-ribbon trout fishing on the Big Horn River and the Buffalo Bill Center, one of the finest western museums in the world.

As long as you’re traveling all the way to Big Sky Country, we hope you’ll stay around a few days and see why many of us refer to our state as “the porch of heaven.”
