Claude Allen

Senior Ministry Consultant for Community Transformation

Background & Certifications

Claude Allen has served the Lord in a wide variety of positions, ranging from prison inmate advocate, missionary trainer, and Christian conciliator to Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy in President George W. Bush’s Administration.

Claude currently serves as the founding Executive Director and President of Love in the Name of Christ (Love INC) Montgomery County. With over two decades of leadership in domestic and foreign policy, the private sector, and government contracts, Claude brings a wealth of experience to this role. However, it is his deep commitment to gospel justice and community transformation that truly inspires us.

Claude and his wife, Jannese, have long felt called by God to Montgomery County for a greater purpose: to serve their neighbors through love, compassion, and practical support. For the past 15 years, Claude has been deeply involved in Good Samaritan Advocates, a Christian legal aid ministry offering legal services to those in need. He also co-founded a prison legal aid clinic providing vital legal support to inmates at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility, sharing the hope of the gospel alongside legal aid.

Claude has served on mediation and arbitration panels in business, employment, family, church, and organizational disputes. He provides legal counsel to the needy as part of the Good Samaritan Advocates ministry in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area. He also co-founded a prison legal aid clinic in Maryland, where he and a team of lawyers and non-lawyers provide legal services and eternal hope to inmates at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility.

As an attorney, Claude served as Counsel to the Virginia Attorney General and as Deputy Attorney General for the Civil Litigation Division in the Office of the Attorney General of Virginia. There, he reported directly to the Attorney General on legal, legislative, and policy matters. Before joining the Office of the Attorney General, Claude practiced law in Washington, D.C., specializing in government contracts, litigation, and legislative affairs.

Claude also served as the Deputy Secretary for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and as the Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy in President George W. Bush’s Administration.

After being introduced to Peacemaker Ministries in 1997, Claude completed conciliator training because he felt called to use his legal training, interpersonal relations, and professional experience to help others resolve conflict biblically. For more than 20 years, Claude has had the privilege of helping families—including his own—businesses, churches, organizations, and leaders in conflict to resolve their differences biblically and experience the transforming power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Claude and his wife, Jannese, live in Maryland and have four children and one grandson.
