Lord willing, this morning I will have the privilege of teaching a three-hour relational wisdom seminar to congressional staff on Capitol Hill.
This training was arranged by a U.S. Congresswoman who has become an advocate for RW and peacemaking in our nation’s capital. If this seminar goes well, it could open the door for further training that could impact a growing network of people who serve in our nation’s capital, especially as we train a cadre of RW Instructors, Coaches and Conciliators in the DC area.
Although I will be using our “values-based” (secular) training materials for most of the seminar, I will introduce our faith-based materials and give everyone the opportunity to pursue more extensive training using whichever paradigm they prefer.
Please pray that each of the people who attend this training will eventually have a life-changing encounter with the gospel and be inspired to practice RW in such a way that many of their peers will eventually pursue this training as well.
On Thursday I’m scheduled to make a presentation to a group of 80+ congressional wives. These women may not vote in the halls of Congress, but most of them serve as their husbands’ most trusted advisors. Please pray that God will give me the words to inspire these influential women to encourage their husbands to apply the principles of relational wisdom and peacemaking as they lead our nation through these challenging times.
The Bible is filled with examples of men and women of faith who provided life-saving and life-changing leadership at a national level. Let’s pray that God will raise up a new generation of Josephs, Abigails, Davids, Esthers, Mordecais and Daniels today!
