Bob Buchanan

Dr. Robert Buchanan is a pastor, teacher, and mentor with a lifelong passion for helping believers grow in biblical wisdom and spiritual resilience. He earned his MATS from Bethel Seminary and later completed a Doctor of Ministry in Biblical Spirituality at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. His doctoral work focused on equipping families to understand and engage in spiritual warfare with clarity, confidence, and a deeply rooted trust in Christ.

Across forty years of full‑time ministry, Bob served churches as a lead pastor, interim pastor, and associate pastor for Spiritual Formation. His ministry extended globally as well, spending three years in India training pastors in the principles of biblical discipleship—an experience that strengthened his commitment to raising up faithful, everyday disciple‑makers.

Bob and his wife, Nita, were married in 1977 and raised two daughters. They now live in Nampa, Idaho, where they enjoy being close to their four grandchildren. Their youngest daughter lives in Long Island, New York, where she works in a bank’s call center. Life at home is shared with their two dogs: Spurgeon, a loyal Shih Tzu, and Finn, an energetic Goldendoodle.

Bob loves studying the Scriptures, writing, hiking Idaho’s trails, and capturing beauty through photography. He’s also a devoted fan of the Mets, the Minnesota Twins, and the Denver Broncos—teams that have shaped his character as much as his patience.
