About Andrea Childs
Andrea’s passion is helping Christians ‘walk the talk’ by applying scriptural principles and seeking the Holy Spirit’s guidance to solve disputes and reconcile relationships, so that the world will know that the Father sent the Son (John 17:23). She has been privileged to watch as repentance, apologies and forgiveness heal even 25 and 30 year family and business conflicts and relationships. She served on the denominational board of the Evangelical Free Church and its affiliate, Christian Investors Financial from 2009-2018. She is the founder and owner of Sign of the Fish Christian Conciliation, Mediation, and Arbitration Services, LLC and Childs Law Firm, LLC and has conducted Conciliation Court, Housing Court, Community, and US Postal Service EEOC Mediations, Christian Conciliations and Conflict Coaching with families, academic institutions, and businesses since 1989. She has been a Certified Christian Conciliator with the Institute for Christian Conciliation since 2008, founded MinnPeace Christian Conciliation network, and chaired the Christian Conciliation Chapter of the Twin Cities Christian Legal Society.
Andrea is a graduate of Wellesley College and received her JD from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in 1980, is a member of the Minnesota State Bar, is admitted to practice in the Federal District and Circuit Courts of Appeal, the U. S. Tax Court and serves as a Qualified Neutral on the Minnesota Supreme Court Rosters for Alternative Dispute Resolution. Andrea has experience conducting in person and zoom mediation sessions locally and nationally. Andrea has been married to her husband, Brad, for over 40 years and they have been members of Westgate Church for 25 years, where they are actively involved in the Chinese/International student ministry. They have two adult children and three young grandchildren.
