RW Assessment Indicators

Thank you for your interest in helping us to develop an RW Skills Assessment Tool.

When it is completed, this online assessment tool that will enable you to evaluate your current relational skills and then measure your growth as you learn to apply the six skills of relational wisdom in all areas of your daily life.

Here is how you can help us with this project:

  1.  Examine the relational qualities listed below. These are the types of short phrases we would like you to write as you describe how you think each of the skills of relational wisdom looks like in daily life.
  • Worship God daily
  • View events as part of God’s providence
  • Remember God’s promises when things get tough
  • Trust God when facing suffering
  • Seek to imitate Jesus’ character when
  • Obey God even when it may make you look foolish
  • Pray throughout your day
  • Are confident in your abilities
  • Admit your shortcomings.
  • Understand your emotions as they happen
  • Recognize how you affect others
  • Can be counted on
  • Handle stress well
  • Tolerate frustration without getting upset
  • Do things you regret when upset
  • Are open to feedback
  • Recognize other people’s feelings
  • Accurately pick up on the mood in the room
  • Hear what the other person is ‘really’ saying
  • Are withdrawn in social situations
  • Directly address people in difficult situations
  • Get along well with others
  • Communicate clearly and effectively
  • Handle conflict effectively
  1. As you go through the form below, begin by reading the definition for each particular skill and think about it carefully for a few moments. Then think about a person you know who typically demonstrates that skill. Then list 2-5 short phrases like those given above that describe how that particular RW skill looks like in daily life.
  2. If you can’t think of any or many descriptions for a particular skill, that’s OK. Just do the best that you can without investing too much time in the process.
  3. Your insights will be included in a pilot assessment tool that will go through two statistical evaluations to produce a final, validated assessment. If you would like to be included in one of those tests, please indicate your interest at the end of the form.
